Accenture hiring overview

Accenture is one of the largest campus recruiters in India, hiring for roles across consulting, technology, and operations. The interview process varies by role (ASE, FSE, associate software engineer) but generally follows: online assessment → technical interview → HR round.

Online assessment breakdown

The OA typically includes:

  • Cognitive ability: verbal, logical reasoning, and abstract reasoning.
  • Technical aptitude: pseudocode, flowcharts, basic programming logic.
  • Communication assessment: sentence correction, reading comprehension.
  • Situational judgment: workplace scenario questions.
  • Time management is critical — do not spend too long on any single question.

Technical interview topics

Campus technical rounds focus on fundamentals, not advanced DSA:

  • OOP concepts: inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, abstraction.
  • DBMS: normalization, SQL queries (joins, group by), ACID properties.
  • Operating systems: processes vs threads, deadlocks, scheduling basics.
  • Data structures: arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees (basics).
  • Simple coding: reverse a string, find duplicates, factorial, Fibonacci.
  • Project discussion: be ready to explain your final year or internship project.

HR round preparation

Accenture HR evaluates communication, flexibility, and cultural fit. English fluency matters — practice speaking clearly and confidently.

  • Tell me about yourself — structured 90-second pitch.
  • Why Accenture? — mention global scale, learning opportunities, digital transformation.
  • Willingness to relocate and work in shifts (for operations roles).
  • Strengths, weaknesses, and teamwork examples.
  • Salary expectations — research Accenture campus packages for your year.

2-week preparation plan

Week 1: Revise CS fundamentals (OOP, DBMS, OS, networks). Practice 20 aptitude questions daily. Week 2: Mock technical and HR interviews on InterviewVeda. Review your project deeply.
