Infosys hiring tracks

Infosys recruits through multiple tracks: SP (Specialist Programmer) for strong coders, DSE (Digital Specialist Engineer), and standard SES (Software Engineer Specialist) for broader campus intake. Each track has different difficulty levels for technical rounds.

Online test and aptitude

The Infosys online assessment typically includes:

  • Quantitative aptitude: percentages, ratios, time-speed-distance, probability.
  • Logical reasoning: puzzles, pattern recognition, seating arrangements.
  • Verbal ability: reading comprehension, sentence correction.
  • Pseudocode and basic programming logic.
  • SP/DSE tracks add harder coding and puzzle sections.

Technical interview topics

  • OOP: classes, inheritance, polymorphism with Java/C++ examples.
  • DBMS: SQL queries, normalization, keys, joins.
  • Puzzles: classic brain teasers (rat and poison, clock angles, weighing balls).
  • Basic coding: array manipulation, string reversal, prime check.
  • Project discussion: architecture, your role, challenges faced.
  • Computer networks: OSI model, TCP vs UDP, HTTP basics.

HR round

Standard HR questions about relocation, salary, notice period, and career goals. Infosys values adaptability and learning attitude — emphasize willingness to work across technologies.

  • Why Infosys?
  • Are you open to training and certification programs?
  • Preferred work location and flexibility.
